    January 19th, 2008 at 3:41 pm Our family has been visiting St. Simons Island over Easter/spring vacation for 12 years and it is such a wonderful respite from Illinois winters. We absolutely love the beach, walking when the tide is out, Beachcomers’ cheeseburgers, Dressler’s biscuits and sweet tea - - it is a magical place. Oh yes — the beautiful oaks on the drive onto the island.
